Red Riding hood’s Decent

Red Riding Hood’s Decent
This is a drawing I made in the first school period at St. Joost school of art and design. For this assignment we had to read a short story and make a drawing based on the story. This drawing is based on Roald Dahl’s take on Red Riding hood in which she eventually shoots the wolf. I also experimented with a new medium I had never worked with before called Etching in which you basically scrape your drawing on a see trough plastic sheet and then put ink onto that Sheet and press it onto a sheet of paper. The effect this created was really cool and I’m happy I tried it.

In the Drawing you see red riding hood approaching her grandmother’s house with a gun in her hand to shoot the wolf. You can also see the wolf very menacingly coming out behind the house. I made him this big to show that he was the big bad of the story.
